I am a Happy Chappy.
Though I am not a chappy (chappy, according to the dictionary, means a boy or a man), I am happy.
Still, it would be nice to meet a Happy Chappy.
It could and would make both of us feel happy.
The Correct Answer
A few years ago, I needed to update my personal information for the company whose financial services I used.
I chose the correct answer to describe my marital status at the time – widow.
A year or two went by, and I replaced my answer with a different answer – single.
Later, I started using a different financial services provider, which had a differently framed answer to the same question – single/divorced/widow.
Going through the whole process, I did what was required of me. I came up with a more personal, satisfying and humorous answer as well.
